Brett Ashby
Brett Ashby is a Melbourne born international contemporary, public and performance artist. He is an artist, director and mentor who cannot be defined by one, or even a handful of artistic styles, mediums or techniques.
His CV includes artist, muralist, filmmaker and cancer advocate, Ashby has a major luxury international profile working alongside musicians and prestige art fairs Worldwide since 2009. Growing up in Melbourne’s outer south-eastern suburbs, Ashby quickly set his sights further than Melbourne and Australia, undertaking an overseas exchange program while completing his Animation and Interactive New Media Studies at Melbourne’s RMIT University.
In 2005 he studied at the Queens College of Arts, Westminster University, London, UK – a period of time surrounded by creative and inspiring people and places, that would prove pivotal to inform his next creative direction and style, and set him on a path of travelling, working and creating art internationally from 2009-14.
Brett was brilliant, a true genius and
a lovely warm guy.
It was a experience and with it came an unexpected intensity. He rendered a recognisable image and one could sense his connection throughout the process.
I have close friendship with Brett and it was great to be involved in his painting process.

He has been featured in the Herald Sun, Artist Profile, Leader newspapers, Vanity Fair, Forbes, Miami Times, Manchester Confidential, Grand Designs & Harpers Bazaar. Brett currently lives and works in Melbourne, Australia.
