To a mural that the whole community can enjoy. Inspired by local’s stories and the heritage of Tanti artist Brett Ashby designed an artwork to strengthen sense of pride and ownership in a community. Working with students from Mornington Secondary College and Mornington Park Primary an exciting new mural has been created for the peninsula.

The project was funded by the Victorian Department of Justice in partnership with Mornington Peninsula Shire as part of school-based education sessions on the consequences of tagging in our communities.

The mural has given Tanti a stronger sense of community identity and sense of safety for residents. An anti-graffiti protection coat has been applied to the mural and the Adopt-a-Hotspot ‘badge’ listing sponsors and partners on the project with a phone number for the community to report any tagging will be added over the coming weeks.
